Overview

The keyboard Nube allows merchants to sell their products in different platform like WhatsApp, Facebook, or any social network.

Opportunity

Studies indicate that Millennials and Gen Z heavily favor mobile devices for their online shopping endeavors, with a considerable portion of their shopping activities occurring on smartphones and tablets. This trend is supported by research from various reputable sources such as GlobalWebIndex, Nielsen, and Statista, highlighting a preference for mobile browsing, price comparison, and transaction completion among younger consumers.

On average, Millennials and Gen Z devote approximately 1-2 hours per week to online shopping activities. Additionally, their engagement with social media platforms is noteworthy, with studies from Pew Research Center, GlobalWebIndex, and Nielsen revealing that these demographics typically spend anywhere from 2 to 4 hours per day on social media. However, individual usage may vary based on factors like personal preferences and geographic location.

Interestingly, in Brazil, it's been observed that many merchants rely on WhatsApp for sales. Recognizing this trend presents a promising opportunity to develop new features that facilitate social media-driven sales for merchants.

Research and Design

Absolutely. We discovered that clients are heavily engaged in social media.

2 – How can clients and trials effortlessly share their products from the keyboard?

The outcomes are detailed below.

3 – What key information should be showcased for each product?

After extensive brainstorming, we determined that the optimal method is through a swipe gesture. Each product will feature an image, title, price, stock availability, and variations.

 4 – How can Android clients seamlessly install the keyboard, considering the diverse installation methods across devices?

This remains a significant hurdle. We are actively exploring the most effective installation process.

The Team

A significant portion of the Keyboard project was spearheaded by Vicky and Verónica, integral members of the Design Sellers team at Tienda Nube.

My role primarily focused on facilitating the onboarding process for utilizing the Keyboard. Subsequently, as Team Manager, I provided support to the designers by offering feedback, devising strategic approaches, and refining the UI.

Moving forward, I will be leading the development of the keyboard's new feature: the express checkout. This feature will empower users to create a shopping cart directly from the keyboard interface.
